The members of Monsoon Groove hail from the south shore of Long Island, New York. Beginning in 2014 when the band made quite a splash at their debut show featuring the famous Furthur Bus.
Monsoon Groove tends to put their own unique spin on cover tunes that everybody knows, but may not hear all the time. The original songs are written by any one of four of the writers in the band and then they all work together to add their own unique parts.
MG:
“We love to test our songs out live because real life feedback is the greatest test of a tune. We have a decent repertoire of cover songs, which we love to add to frequently, but the originals give us a chance to start fresh. They are like the necessary force of different energies and pattern changes coming together to make one larger force…. like a Monsoon Groove”.
In 2016, we recorded our first demo, which includes both originals and covers. We look forward to producing our first album soon and maybe another demo.
